MARC DUFEY
A driver with a big heart
In March 2022, in reaction to the invasion of Ukraine on February 24 of the same year, Marc Dufey, a transporter from Oron-le-Châtel, was contacted by a friend working for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). She contacts him to explain an urgent logistical problem and asks him if he would be willing to transport medical equipment to Ukraine.
Without hesitation, Marc accepts and provides his experience, as well as his truck, to go there on March 3, 2022. This altruistic gesture marks the start of a new adventure for Marc. He thus undertakes his first trip to the field, demonstrating spontaneous commitment and a desire to respond to pressing needs in areas affected by the conflict.
Many return trips followed, interspersed with other trips to Turkey and Morocco, in order to provide for the needs of the victims of the recent earthquakes.
Its action does not stop there. Marc Dufey aspires to strengthen his commitment to vulnerable populations. Every contribution, no matter how small, represents a breath of hope for those who depend on humanitarian aid. Thanks to donations and support from Switzerland, it will be able to continue transporting shipments of medical equipment, medicines and essential foodstuffs to where they are desperately needed.
