A Heart Story
In March 2022, following the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, a transporter from Oron-le-Châtel, Marc Dufey, received a call from a friend who worked at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and explained to him his logistical problem and asks him if he is available for transporting medical equipment to Ukraine.
Marc immediately accepts and makes his experience and his truck available to leave for Ukraine on March 3, 2022. This will be his first humanitarian trip, followed by 12 others in 2022.
Deeply touched by the humility, dedication and courage of Marc Dufey, Mr. Michel Schwab, founding member of the Lions-Club Lausanne-Galicien, took the initiative in October 2023 to bring together a dedicated committee, in order to bring the Marc Dufey Humanitarian Transport Association.
This organization, on a human scale, aims to carry out transport of a humanitarian nature such as the transport of medical equipment, medicines, foodstuffs, basic necessities and many other resources, intended to meet the needs regions and countries whose geopolitical and health situation requires international solidarity.
Indeed, in addition to his commitment in Ukraine, Marc provided assistance to the Moroccan people after a devastating earthquake and to Turkey for similar reasons. Through our association, we guarantee direct delivery of materials to recipients, thus eliminating intermediaries. The donations we collect are used exclusively to cover the costs associated with the delivery of these precious laods.
We do everything we can to contribute to improving human living conditions and alleviating the suffering of vulnerable people. By collecting donations to finance these humanitarian missions, our association undertakes to provide detailed descriptions of the equipment transported, the journeys undertaken, as well as the delivery operations.
All this is accompanied by an absolute guarantee of transparency in the management of Marc Dufey's missions. We believe in the power of international assistance to make a difference in the world and offer hope to communities in need.
